And so the final url which is used is? See the browser address bar or use "view source" or F12 in your browser to inspect the markup and see what exactly is the url you are trying to reach. More likely this is just not what you expected.
Not directly related but I noticed a link such as "/Soweb/d$/Virtual Web/Data/Sites/1/media/NewsRelease/ImgNotFound.png" which won't work. Could it be that you are trying here to do something similar for this link???
